We’re excited to share a major milestone for Backlog Refinement, Sprint & Capacity Planning for Jira. With Version 3.1.0, the app has been rebuilt from the ground up on Atlassian Forge — and it now carries two of the Atlassian Marketplace’s most important trust signals: Runs on Atlassian and Cloud Fortified.
This is more than a version bump. It’s a foundational change in how the app is hosted, secured, and trusted — with real benefits for every team that plans their work in Jira.
Now hosted entirely on Atlassian
Earlier versions of the app ran as an Atlassian Connect app on our own external infrastructure. Version 3.1.0 moves everything onto Atlassian Forge, Atlassian’s secure, cloud-native platform for building apps. The practical result: the app runs inside Atlassian’s own cloud, using Atlassian-managed authentication, storage, and compute.
What “Runs on Atlassian” means for your data
The Runs on Atlassian badge tells customers something Atlassian can verify programmatically: the app does not egress your data. Your backlog, estimates, sprint commitments, and capacity data stay inside Atlassian’s cloud rather than being sent to third-party servers. For teams with strict data-privacy and residency requirements, that’s a meaningful guarantee — not a marketing claim.
Cloud Fortified: enterprise-grade security, reliability & support
Cloud Fortified is a broader set of trust signals that goes beyond the technical hosting model. It reflects the security, reliability, and support practices behind the app, including participation in Atlassian’s security programs, a vulnerability disclosure / bug-bounty program, and fast-response support SLAs for critical issues. In short: it’s a signal that the app is ready for enterprise teams who can’t afford surprises.
What this means for you
- Easier security review. Forge hosting and Atlassian-managed permissions make procurement and admin security reviews faster and simpler.
- Your data stays put. No data egress — planning data never leaves Atlassian’s cloud.
- Same one-screen workflow. Backlog refinement, story-quality filters (INVEST and the “As a, I want, So that” format, missing story points, missing subtasks, subtasks without time estimates), and capacity-aware sprint planning against real team velocity — all on a more secure, Atlassian-native foundation.
- Nothing to do. Existing installs upgrade automatically.
Try it
Refine your backlog, fix story quality, and plan sprints against real capacity — all on one screen, now running on Atlassian. Get it on the Atlassian Marketplace or learn more on divim.io.
